Drive Website Traffic to your Affiliate Program and cash in on Internet Sales Profits Pt.2

One of the advantages that we didn't mention before as to why you should own your own domain is getting listed with the major search engines. The web pages given to you by your affiliate program owner will limit your resources or options in terms of receiving quality traffic from major search engines like Google, Yahoo, AOL, MSN, Hotbot, Altavista and other. You will never be able to achieve top rankings on search engines because there thousands of web pages just like the ones you got from your affiliate owner's program.  In fact these pages are almost never indexed by search engines.

Having your own domain will solve this problem and ultimately give you the freedom to create web pages which achieve high rankings on the search engines. Each of the major search engines such as AltaVista, Infoseek, Google, Yahoo, Hotbot, and the others have their own ranking algorithms which change virtually monthly.  These algorithms are used to determine how a search engine will rank a website or web page. Image 1,000's of similar, no exact, web pages competing for the top position on the same product or service.   

You effectively over come this problem and ultimately eliminate your competitor who is using the same affiliate program as you when you create your own website or web page for your affiliate products.  Now you have control over which keywords or keyword phrases are located in your meta tags.  You control the meta tag tile, meta content, link directory and you effectively take control over how your site is search engine optimized.

Obviously, you must use other means of advertising to market your programs other than search engines. You can trade links with websites, purchase quality traffic from a traffic seller, and even use banner advertising. There are dozens of ways to generate traffic. If you want to make money from your affiliate
programs, you must be willing to use them all.

You won't earn a single red cent with any affiliate program without generating quality traffic to your website. Traffic equal Sales. With the right Advertising Campaign in place, combined with a well website design, coupled with the right sales pitch, you'll be on the right track to success.  You Need To advertise  And Advertise BIG !!

Let there be no doubt.  In order to make money you must spend money.  We all know that the very first step to making a sale is to let your customers know that you exist! Unfortunately, there's not much "drive by" business for Internet companies. As nice as it would be, customers won't just stumble into your lap. You must spend money on website promotion!  The object of the game is to spend your advertising dollars in a cost effective manner so that your Return on Investment (ROI) is achieved effectively.  Don't waste your advertising dollars on Free for All (FFA's) or Free Classified Ads.  These forms of advertising simply do not work and are what we call "Negative Advertising."  You are not going to generate a constant flow of quality traffic from these services.  You are literally wasting your time.  Do you think the heavy hitters advertise on their products or services on FFA's or Classifieds ads...no way and neither should you.  Advertising/marketing campaigns are successful because experienced Business Executives make sure that their advertising/marketing campaigns are geared to a targeted market and if you want the same results you too must follow their leads.  Success duplicates Success.
